which is one of the reasons why I fear we may end up with him given the current administration's propensity not to find any good additions to the squad.
I sat on my beautiful dfs sofa like seat in the Emirates last night and all I could think was how a relatively poor set up such as our team was being flattered by a lacklustre opposition. I'd almost forgotten about Henry and then he came on all sprinkled with media fairy dust and the lumpen arsenal fans (they had two songs when he came on) suddenly came to life.
Just imagine what the headlines would have been if Wenger was booking a coach to take his fops up to Leeds for a replay this morning instead of extolling the virtues of his wonderkind?
Positives from this match were that some of the team do actually know how to play a kind of football and tyhat the kids didn't go to pieces. The big negative is that this is not a team in the sense that we woul all like to acknowledge, an ustructured and disparate lot with little or no "understanding" between them. Only once did I see an instinctive back pass from Leeds and even that came to nought.
It was good to see Voicey in the pub and he asked to be remembered to all of you. His eyes misted over when we discussed the tube journey to Wembley and he is 100% convinced that Wilko could turn it all round.
Good banter and definate agreement that we should meet up for a list meet/ reunion before the end of the season.
