Hence what I said about us not being able to convince them that we are likely
to be able to offer them Prem football any time soon
My original post says but for some reason we are not able to convince them of
our ambition to make it to that higher level
As for the Bosman argument, other clubs seem able to hang on to at least some
of their players - who was the last regular first teamer at Leeds who signed a
new contract ?
I accept that all players want to play at the highest level they can, and that
all clubs are 'selling clubs' even those at the very top, but we seem unable to
hang on to anyone and lose out to clubs who we should be able to compete with -
Kilkenny to Bristol and Scmeichal to Leicester
In many way the facts do not matter- it is what supporters see as the facts
that count.Lots of fans seem to be saying enough is enough and refusing to
renew ST this time round, fans who stuck with us for 2 relegations and  3
seasons in the 3rd Division even when we started one on minus 15 points,
To me this reluctance / refusal to renew is due to a number of reasons - Bates,
perceived lack of ambition, over enthusiastic stewards / lack of atmosphere,
price , overpaid players ,too early renewal date etc
What is clear , we need to do something and quick to stop the rot before it
becomes terminal and we find ourselves facing relegation again with fans
deserting in their droves

Or maybe they just want out.  Which is more worrying since that would imply
that they do not want to play for grayson or do not rate him or something
similar. It might be just a money issue, but I find it hard to believe that all
of these players you mentioned would go for money alone. I would be willing to
bet, that if they thought we have a chance of premier league footy next season,
some of them would stay.
