Basically, I said why the fuck are you selling one of our best players, and our most important player. This is not the action of a football team that wants to win trophies, Batty was Leeds through and through etc.
I got a letter back from fotherby (I think it was at the time) explaining that it was a good offer, and that ultimately no one forced Batty to agree terms with Blackburn or sign for them. He also offered to have a meeting with me to discuss it.
