they were better than us in the first half...and we ended up holding them
back in their half in the second, for the most part - anything to do with
the wind perhaps? Neither keeper (none of the 3 keepers) could get much
beyond half way kicking towards the kop...and when you watched the ball in
flight it was swerving and dipping...this ended up with their centre of
defence crumbling when the pressure was on...we didn't just get lucky with
their "gifts" we also got lucky with the wind.

One of the reasons they were better in the first half was they played the
ball short and fast and to feet and ON THE DECK on such a windy day. Our
clueless bunch lumped it long and in the air...no wonder we didn't have
much of the ball...and no wonder we didn't see much of our midfield...

Surprised about dropping White and putting Pugh a left back - let's get
Aidy and Delph (and Townend if he wakes up again) bombing down the
left...will alleviate some pressure from Snoddy who was always marked by
two men - except when that CHalf passed to him in the box.

What a shambles Brown's alleged "warming up" was - stood half down the
touch chatting with Bullard (and Bruce a bit) for about 10 minutes -
occassionally waggling a leg about or doing a half hearted plunging
stretch...with senior pros buggering about like that its no surprise that
people think that the team are not "united".

A fish rots from the head down and this kipper began to stink years ago.
