The writer (from the YEP) bemoaned the fact that our manager GG, had his hands tied behind his back because of the lack of investment in the team, while money was being spent on TA and the ground. The reply from the Chairman (someone call Ridsdale I think) said that actually Leeds were spending well above the rate for the league (premier) and that spending money was not a guarantee of success (he pointed to Chelsea as an example).
