I feel for you on this one Jeremy as it's almost exactly a year (5th
February) since I lost my father and, like yourself, I had about 4 weeks
notice, being informed on 7th January. I know how hard the next few weeks
are going to be for you and deeply sympathise. One thing we did which we now
look back on with a smile - if your Dad is able to? - we took him some of
his favourite foods into the hospital to enjoy, not too much, he couldn't
eat that much, but to see him enjoy and to recall that enjoyment now as he
ate things such as Fresh crab - Tripe and onions - ice cream - proper chips
etc etc

If you need to talk I am here for you Jeremy

Steve G

So sorry Graeme, that's incredibly sad, for an adult to lose a child like
that is the worst thing in the world. I'm sadly on a plane tomorrow morning
back to London to say goodbye to my Dad who's just been given 3-4 weeks to
live so I feel your pain, though at least my Dad had a fair crack at the
whip.

Sincerely,
Jeremy
