Mark, I got all that, but...
What about the pot that contains the money from the highest ticket prices in the Football League, paid by the most supporters of any club in the Football League? What about the pot that contains the money from the Delph, Schmeichel, Gradel, Howson and Kebbie fees? What about the pot that contains the money from Spurs, Chelsea and Everton for nicking our kids? What about the pot that contains the receipts (TV and gate, depending) from the Liverpool, Man U (x2), Arsenal (x2) and Spurs cup ties? Do you think that money - all of which ought to be considered "bonus" income - has all been invested in the playing squad? Cheers! Yes, he's a millionaire, but he's doing this to make a fortune, not to spend one. And get your heads round the fact that the player's contract, not the transfer fee, is where the money goes. Finally, get your heads round the idea that the money that's being spent on ER is borrowed from a bank at commercial rates, which will be repaid from revenue from the improved facilities. You cannot borrow money at these rates to spend on players. It's not a case of either spend money on banqueting suites or buy players. The money comes from different pots. Were these companies really trust funds set up by Bates with the money he got from Chelsea? Perish the thought. I'm sure he was donating to all the good local charities like the local Ambulance brigade who the Malignant Stoat 'forgot' to pay in Leeds. But then charity does begin at [tax free ] home. Thanks to MS I have a true empathetic understanding for voodoo worshipers In fact a pin cushions designed as a MS replica would bring in a fortune. Probably wouldn't work with that thick skinned bastard. .
