I know you like to moan about everything and everyone so I'm not surprised
you moan about DOL, I am a little surprised by two ironies that seem to have
whizzed over your head (and your groupies of course).

1. You criticise DOL for being lucky and profligate, and yet blame bates for
not bankrolling transfers for SG. Errrrrr hello.
2. You criticise DOL for buying lots of unneeded players, how many defenders
and strikers did SG have on the books?

And seeing as you won't sleep without my opinion, here it is;

DOL was "lucky" in inheriting a great youth team, however he was brave to
give those kids a break and a run in the side. Yes, even total donkeys/pub
players like McPhail and Harte.

His management of that team was brilliant.

His downfall (EVERYONE has them in time) was to get a bit cocky, and to
fixate over players he always wanted to sign (like Keane and Fowler). The
main manifestation of his cockiness was to release that book and ruin team
spirit. Duberry had a role in that too of course.

On balance, he was a good manager for us, as the results clearly show even
to miserable gits like you. I don’t think he would work for us now, but
having said that it would be interesting to see how he does - there is no
doubt he is a manager who wants to prove a point (to miserable gits like
you).

There, now you can sleep.

Brilliant. Same old folk that haven't got a clue.

Where's Humphries.  Surely he must be a DOL fan.
