Living in Switzerland in the pre-internet, pre-cable tv days of the late 70's / 
early 80's it was really hard to get any news about anything. Five minutes at 
the end of Sportschau on Sunday night, fiddling with the aerial to get the BBC 
World Service Saturday sports show, and getting the Sunday papers three days 
late was my lot. Obviously news of 2nd division football was that much 
harder....

Did get to become very knowledgeable of the Bundesliga though. And did get to 
see Leeds in a tournament at FC Zurich. 1978? Were crap and came last I think.

I was on a sabbatical from football in the 1980s so have no personal 
recollections, but I think you'll find he's high up the list of Da Rev's 
favourite players, isn't that right John?
