75% of the time I actually agree with you. I dont go to many games these days so avoid commenting on players/tactics etc... and leave that to the regulars.
What I can comment on is businessy stuff. If you think about what you would do if you were running Leeds then that helps. For example if Howson said I ain't signing a new contract until I know we are in the premier league and someone offers £2m I take it. He was injured anyway and still isnt back, the wages/fee to replace him as he walks out would be a burden to the budget. What I wouldnt do is starve the team of resources and focus it on the stadium even if I wouldnt want to get promoted this year because I would owe creditors something. Football is the product and a happy full stadium even if we dont go up is the key. I'm f*cked off listening to my Middlesbrough colleague talking about how we only get 19000. I prefer the patronising media talking about how the premier league needs us back We all hate Bates but what's tedious in the extreme is this the constant its Bates fault, yes he has created the conditions for where we are now but we dont need to hear that every misplaced pass is a direct result of his actions. There are plenty of clubs worse off than us and a great number overachieving. Its the flat-earthers on here that think a few £5m transfer fees and £100k a week in wages will solve things and we will walk the league. -----Original Message----- From: Mark Humphries [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: 15 February 2012 11:44 To: 'Matt Anderson'; 'John Boocock'; [email protected] Subject: RE: [LU] LISTOWNING PLEASE READ NOW Actually Matt, most of the time I am not trying to wind people up. The anti bates stuff is just inane ranting, ok, let off steam but jesus, if it pains you that much get a life. _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] PETE CASS (1962 - 2011) Rest In Peace Mate
