Thanks for that John, seems to me a fair assessment of our predicament, we need
a strong leader but someone who may be shackled, almost a poisoned chalice for
anyone to take over at the moment. Regardless of previous comments we do have a
squad that can do well if they play in the right positions and we do have a
chance of play offs but we need to change things and most importantly for me is
on the field. Players get paid to play and come and go, that's a fact of life
so their loyalty is always questionable despite what we fans would like.
Nevertheless 100% is always required, sadly lacking so far this season.
We need a manager who will motivate them, play them in right positions and get
into a play off position, fixtures coming up mean we will have to work hard,
the fans show their loyalty and dissatisfaction but MS doesn't seem to care. he
won't leave because he is a business man (good or not). Personally if I was
looking for a manager's job it wouldn't be Leeds right now because of MS but
hey ego's are what they are and bonuses too.
We are not strong enough for Premier League at the moment IMO but we should
consolidate here and think about next season.
Re recent departures from list etc. We all have an opinion because we are all
passionate, we might not agree all the time but we do have an overriding
passion and that is we want LUFC to do well. As i was told before on the list,
just delete if you don't want to hear or talk.
For me McCarthy is a decent choice and is someone who has the balls to say hey
mate you ain't good enough. We have too many players who are sitting around
doing nothing and clearly not challenging, Nunez, Forssell are 2 off top of my
head...
I hope we choose wisely but I fear it will be political and 'do what i say and
not what you want'.... a less experienced manager is on the cards and our
season is over is my worst fear.
