OK, that's a fair point, Leeds United will never be Ken Bates and vice versa 
and that is the only thought that keeps me going, BUT commercially he can do
what he wants.

I see where you are coming from but actually he can't. Even in a close-monoply 
situation the monopolist (for that is why Bates is in football in the first 
place) cannot controll both  ends of the equation. He can take unilateral 
commercial actions but there ARE consequences if he takes such actions without 
due regard to his customers/victims.
