Although in some ways it is a nothing game tomorrow, in other ways it is quite a big game. Somehow Colin needs to sort out our atrocious home form - we need to finish with 9 points at home with 3 winnable games. We need to start next season with the Elland Road hoodoo well and truly ended We also need to put to bed our midweek match nightmares - our midweek results over the last 2 seasons have been so much worse than our Saturday results that there must be either something pyschological or physical going on , we either have a mental block over midweek games (4 - 6 Preston, 0 -5 Blackpool, 3 7 Forest all midweek, as were 2 5 Barnsley, 0 4 Cardiff, 1 4 Brum ) or are too unfit to play 2 games in a few days.
The physcial side is the big concern for me tomorrow - can Brown play 2 games in 3 days, especailly when the first was one of his best and most energy sapping games for us. Can Pugh and McCormack give that same 100% effort ? Against West Ham we gave it everything we had and then ran out of steam in the Forest game, on Friday at Reading we gave it everything and need to do the same tomorrow v Derby , we cannot afford to run out of steam again! Also we have 3 games left at ER to try and convince fans to renew their STs or buy new ones at the vastly inflated prices they are now being charged* or at least get fans to commit in their own minds to attend all games next season.Clearly Bates is doing next to nothing to bring fans back onside and in love with the club so it falls to Colin to do so - he has 2 ways of doing it, performances and results on the pitch and/ or making signings that get fans excited (not sure who would fit the bill for that - maybe Derry - since I don't watch enough other teams to know who is out there) Dave * I am not suggesting that early renewals were not inflated just that the new pices are at least £80 more _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] PETE CASS (1962 - 2011) Rest In Peace Mate
