results echo the national total pretty closely, 80%+ plus turnover is very
impressive - nearly 30% for the anti europe "extremes" of right and left is
in one respect scary, but from the french people I talk to it seems to me
the french use the first round for the heart, since no-one ever wins
outright and then the second for their head.  If Hollande wins and does even
part of what he has said he will (increase pensions, decrease the
entitlement age and invest in public services) it will make a interesting
comparison to the austerity measures in place in much of the rest of Europe.
