Without wanting to wish good fortune on Chelsea the longer their game went on
against Bayern there was an unmistakable growing feeling of payback for 1975
(and to a far lesser extent for 1976 -St. Etienne at Hampden). It wasn't there
at kick off but the way the game panned out it just grew and grew.
By the end it was very real.

thing about the Chumps League - FAF!! Indeed!

In the world of the Leeds United supporter, there can never have been a better
ending to a season in which we weren't challenging for anything. In the space
of eight days, Manchester United and Bayern Munich - surely our two most bitter
enemies - each had one hand on a major trophy with minutes to go in the final
game of their season, only to see it snatched from their grasp at the death.
That was just beautiful.

Pity for Spurs, though.
