>Fascinating insights: That is more of a fascinating LACK of insight.
Lorimer has no idea what he is talking about when it comes to his statement about nobody else wanting to take on the club at the time of Bates' arrival. Then again in his own words he wouldn't know anything about it because he distances himself from this sort of thing doesn't he. He just sits back like a muppet and waits to see where the club gets taken and then he thinks about it (meanwhile talking drivel to the media whilst it is all going whoosh past his clueless haze). "Nobody in their right mind would be interested in buying a debt ridden club". Well that either means that Ken Bates isn't in his right mind (which could indeed be an insight) or that the club was ceasing to be debt ridden at the time of Bates' arrival which is definitely right, and therefore the rest of it is a load of bullshit. He talks about the board in the third person. "I'm sure that one of their main concerns would be....." So the muppet has no input or influence on ensuring that the club is sold to people who can take the club forwards. Nothing to do with him apparently. Who is this "board" for Gods sake. How does Lorimer the board member abdicate all interest in such a vital aspect of running the club. The sooner that the media stop printing this crap from Lorimer the sooner the fans can get back to remembering what he did with his boots. I suppose it a good thing that he is getting nowhere near any negotiations concerning the future of the club. IMHO the club is desperately in need of an overnight savior. We need to be released from the dead clutching greedy grasping exploiting deceitful claws of the current owner and be released from this Bates imposed purgatory. The problem has changed but only because Bates became the problem at the same time as the previous problems dropped away. _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] PETE CASS (1962 - 2011) Rest In Peace Mate
