All you optimists are deluded. There isn't going to be any investment or takeover, for one simple reason.............Bates is so obviously a slimy conniving and dishonest wideboy. Nobody with any financial acumen would trust their money to Bates, and it is very unlikely that anybody could accumulate the wealth necessary for a takeover without possessing that acumen.
I am starting to fear the worst. Initially, much as I loathed him as an individual, I thought that Bates' ambition to be a big noise in the world of football again would mean that he would use his slimy manipulating skills in a positive way for the club, and would get us back to the top table. But I am starting to fear that in fact his entire LUFC project is in fact the fulfillment of his famous quote that he would not rest until the club is destroyed. He has employed a manager who has also publicly stated his hatred of Leeds in the past. Are they conniving to bleed the club dry and leave it for dead?
