always makes me laugh this thing about Spain being boring - they're not out there to entertain you - go watch X-factor or something - they're there to win the match - if the tippy tappy football is boring, it is up to the other team to take it off them, and then score - and more often than not, they cannot. Their technical ability is simply mind-blowing as is their team-ethic; their work rate when they lose the ball is second to none.
That said, Spain vs Portugal could be good because twatface is more or less unplayable at the moment. England? Should have dropped Rooney. The main problem with England is our stupidity as a nation - we all moan and grumble at our inability to keep the ball; control and pass with accuracy; and yet we do nothing less than scream about "hitting the big man"; "put it in the stands"; "get some blood on your boots" at every game we go to - cause and effect people, cause and effect. We will never (and by we, I mean us, the press, the managers, the punters, the chairmen and boards -anyone connected with the game) let the national game and team, take 10-15 years to regroup, re-learn the game from the roots up, because "it wouldn't be exciting".
