Thanks Eric,

I appreciate the advice....I'll give it a go.
As for the "retard" thing, I've been and no doubt will, continue to be called
worse!

Thanks again fella,

I appreciate the help.

Subject: Re: [LU] Non LU: Mac VPN onto MS Network?

I am on  OSX 10.7.4

VPN: I run the built-in VPN client on my imac into work. Work VPN is an IpSec
cisco thing, it does work.

RDP: I assume your client will have to get MS office for mac  so use the client
that comes with MS office for MAC.

OSX and SMB/CIFS interoptibility: the answer is yes. it does work. Just like in
windows, all you have to do is,
command-K "smb://192.168.0.1" and a list of shares should appear. if this is
some sort of shared environment you might
want to enable Access-based Enumeration. What this does is to only show folders
that a user has permission to
see,
introduced Windows 2003 R2.

Caveat: I am not running AD here, just between windows and Mac clients, good
old workgroup mode.
If the environment is setup OK he should be able to use exchange and the lot.
If not setup exchange to run over HTTPS for him?

You really want to stop referring to yourself as rtard on the list. It might
become the norm otherwise.
