With everything quiet, Ken's office empty etc. and players being bought, my theory is that the new owners don't want it announcing until next week, in the run up to the opening game of the season, so an ecstatic 'Bates free' crowd can laud them onto the pitch on the hottest day of the year (Which always pisses off my cricket playing mates!).
