Subject: The Football Supporters' Federation - 2012 Annual Report

Dear FSF affiliate member,

The Football Supporters’ Federation’s Annual Report for the 2011-12 season is
available to all affiliated/associated supporters organisations free of charge
- download the report in PDF format here or let me know and I'll arrange for a
hard copy to be posted out (we have limited numbers of these, so don't delay!).

The FSF is the nationally-recognised, democratic organisation representing
individual fans and local supporters’ organisations from every club in the
professional structure and many from the non-league game. We receive core
funding from both the Football Foundation and the FA. We work closely with our
friends at Level Playing Field and Supporters Direct and our chair Malcolm
Clarke sits as the fans’ representative on the FA Council on behalf of all
three groups. As the national fans organisation in England and Wales we have a
very wide remit and the Annual Report is our attempt to consolidate much of the
good work that we have carried out in the past year into one document.

We are very proud of our pioneering Fans’ Embassies (p12) and their work with
the Home Office, the FA and the UK Football Policing Unit to support England &
Wales fans abroad. The model is much copied, has UEFA’s support and played an
important role at Euro 2012. Domestically we continue our campaign to promote
the use of Safe Standing areas (p6) and are delighted that many in the football
industry recognise the need to find a safe and common sense solution to the
very real problem of fans standing in seated areas.

Our growing membership figures have also been reflected in the increasing
number of fans seeking information and advice from our dedicated caseworker
(p16). We provide support to fans on a wide range of issues. The Annual Report
also covers other areas of interest to fans including goal-line technology,
fixture compilation, club charters, and football governance.

I hope that you will find the Annual Rreport to be of interest. We are keen to
extend and improve our relationships with all parts of the football industry
and to this end would be very happy to meet with you to discuss matters of
common interest.

Yours faithfully,
Michael
