The reason why no one is in for him is becasue he's at the end of his career, only played brief cameos for Man Utd when he was there and when he was there in the last season or 2 he only scored against lower league teams.
He's specifically stated he wants to play here, he won't drop down the leagues and won't move from Cheshire, so needs enough basic wages to pay for a helicopter to training at a club too far to be driven there and back every day. Which is mental.
