I find the whole Hillsborough thing fascinating. People are very angry, but who
are they actually angry at? Do they even know?

A parallel is the anger at "the banks". But again, what does this mean? Are
they angry at a big office block, some of the people who work there, or the
shareholders (often people like you or I, or anyone paying into a pension!) who
employ the directors and demand good returns on their investment? Are they
angry at the politicians who let the banking crisis and Hillsborough cover up
happen, or the voters (you and I again) who were foolish enough to vote in the
governments?

Maybe football fans should be angry at themselves, for they put up with the
small minority of hooligans for years and years, that ultimately led to police
and other authorities behaving the way they did. We could have stopped this as
easily as the police.

And bear in mind that the police generally act in the way we want them too. At
different times we demand them to be tougher, other times less so.

In most things, society gets what it deserves.
