A mate of mine, years back, caught a long haul to LA for some International Conference (In what you'll find out later) and was in Business Class. In the lounge he saw Mr Ian 'Lemmy' Kilminster at the bar and approached with some caution to say "Hi Lemmy, I'm a huge fan. Am I OK to get you a drink" "Sure" says the Lemmster, Imagine my mate's delirium when he finds out he's not only on the same flight but sat next to one of his Rock heroes. So (And he does tell the whole story over at least 3 pints!) he gets loads of top tales on the flight whilst sipping a fair bit of the free bar. By the time they land at LA International, Rock Superstar Lemmy has taken a bit of shine to my mate and says "Right, why don't you ditch your bags and I'll show you a REAL night out in LA?" - Now I'm not sure about any of you, but I'd drop the bags there and then, double check he's not going to Rohipnol me and take me as his bitch and get out on the lash pronto! My mate? Nahhh, his response? "Sorry Lemmy, I've got an International Stationary Conference to attend tomorrow" ... Lemmy stares him in the eye and growls "F**king loser" before disappearing into a stretched Limo. We NEVER let him forget this, when he starts getting the Big I am!
