>As Rich points out, the majority of his goals are reactions to moves >started by others, hence all the tap-ins and headers from 6 yards out. >All goals are important - I don't think anyone is arguing with that - >but he's not going to be the scorer of 20-30 *quality* goals, which is >what we'd all like to see.
and nobody says he is going to score 20-30 quality goals a season - even yeboah (blessed be his name) didn't manage that. But what makes me laugh is that anyone can argue that 7 goals already this season isn't a great return from 8 matches and 67 from 173 in total pretty decent. How many strikers have we had over the last 10 years who have managed that? How ever you try and justify it, its goals that matter, and he's scored them, and when fit he's been he's first on the teamsheet for every manager at leeds he's played for. I don't remember you being frustrated when he's scored or compalining it was a tap in, you were jumping around like a loon like the rest of us! To score a tap in you've got to be in the right place and they count exactly the same a a 40 yrd volley. _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] PETE CASS (1962 - 2011) Rest In Peace Mate
