I couldn't agree more, Rich. Best wishes, Verner

He puts in 100% all the time AND he scores goals, at a better average than most. Its not his fault if his 100% is not as big as other strikers we'd like to see in all white. Yes he sometimes gives the ball away and sometimes doesn't win his headers but he almost always is there to receive the ball and always goes up for headers and puts his body in the way when he has to. Beckford never did that, neither did Hulse or most of the other strikers we've had over the last 10 years AND he's scored more goals than most of them. He conducts he contract negotiations in private and doesn't moan to the press unlike some we could mention. IMHO if we put him on the transfer list there'd be a very long list of championship clubs wanting to talk to us, some of which in the hunt for promotion. I'd prefer a striker that did everything right, but they are few and far between. He is a limited player we are all agreed on that, but within those limits he is an outstanding contributor that is why Larry and Colin both played him whenever he was fit. He certainly isn't the worst player I've ever seen play for Leeds. _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] PETE CASS (1962 - 2011) Rest In Peace Mate _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] PETE CASS (1962 - 2011) Rest In Peace Mate
