I actually thought Becchio looked lively when he came (I have very, very low
expectations) so I was pleased to see him win a few headers , control the ball
and play it to a Leeds shirt, even if it was 30 yards backwards. He also
managed to get into the 6 yard box for the header that never was. God knows how
he failed to make contact - just another case of poor timing / lack of
coordination on which is career has been full of. Varney had failed to make any
such impact apart for a bit of play acting to get us the pen.

I think our options up front are severely limited and there's no way we can
progress with the current set of strikers.

I agree about Byram he looks like a real footballer but unfortunately for
reasons only Colin knows he is being asked to play at right back. He has
acceleration, pace and stamina and needs to play in midfield. For me I'd play
him centrally alongside Norris (or Zac Thomson). I'd then bring back Poleon on
the left wing and hopefully Ryan Hall will be fit enough to play on the right.
Ok it might be a tad lightweight and inexperienced but I'd rather see a load of
kids with pace and enthusiasm than this set of current cloggers.

As for Diouf, he's reportedly asking for 20k a week. To be honest, he's been
our best player but I think recently his attitude has been poor and I be
tempted to show him the door and use the brass to try and get someone else in
(not mckail smith or whatever his name is).
