Went on Saturday for only the second time this season (part time barstard!) and I have to say that I really enjoyed it.
The game was utter shite in the first half. If Dave et al are saying that passage of play was okay, then you've seen a lot of dross fellas, cause it was rubbish! Varney? Reg Varney's got more chance of driving a bus in to the back of the net! I asked Matt, a more regular attendee than me 'Who's our striker?' He said 'Varney'. I said 'Where is he?' Second half was if nothing else entertaining. Under the cosh, brief moment of 'can we do it' after the penalty, fun singing, comedy moments - I have to say I enjoyed the experience. And it's much easier to accept defeat when you're a) there, and b) you don't have to see it too regularly! I thought (and said before the injury) that Warnock was wrong to use all his subs, and so it proved. A big mistake I think. However I do recommend part time supporting. You get to enjoy all the fun of going to a match (pub, mates, singing, pies etc) but not the never ending grinding down of your soul that season ticket holding inflicts on you.
