I watched Sundi's game - 2 ordinary sides. All too predictable a result. No pace or ideas up front for us. Man sent off was par for the course with football these days - Warnocks phoney "what's football coming to" would have more conviction if he stuck to his principles, e.g. why is he playing Diouf etc? I reckon football generally is in for wake-up call once they realise the next generation doesn't actually care about it? Bates/takeover/Bahrain - doesn't seem to me that anything is going to change, and even if the takeover goes through the best chance of sucess is if they get bought out by someone who has some money. Given that, it's hard to be optimistic!

That with ten men we still threatened and had chances to win. the quality of diouff. the quality of mccormack. and when i heard myself saying, "new owners might not be an improvement" I reflected. Actually, could they be any worse than Bates? Would I prefer even Ridsdale to Bates. Yes, definitely. The Venkeys? Yes. Michael Knighton. yes.
