Former Leeds United man leaves the Beavers By Stuart Amos, from www.richmondandtwickenhamtimes.co.uk
Hampton & Richmond Borough boss Mark Harper has admitted it was as much a case of shape up or ship out, as it was the club could no longer afford striker Tresor Kandol. The former Leeds United front man was released by the club this week having barely played first-team football during his brief spell at the Beveree. The 28-year-old, who has a wealth of Football League experience under his belt, was a much-heralded signing when he pitched up at Station Road last month. But Hampton's money men finally pulled the plug on the agreement having failed to get a good enough return on their investment. "If it was a case that he came here, was fit, banging in goals left right and centre and looking like the professional footballer he should, then I could justify the money," said Harper. "The club wasn't in a position to sustain his wages. He has been superb for us but he has had his injury problems and hasn't met the club's expectations. He is not happy, but what can you do? That is football." _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] PETE CASS (1962 - 2011) Rest In Peace Mate
