It was 60 years ago yesterday that I left England - the final voyage of
the good-ship Empress of Canada. She landed in St. John, N.B., Canada
on Dec. 30th...sailed back to Liverpool for annual refit. Some ass of a
welder set the ship on fire and that was the end of her.
Despite being stuck here in the colony of Canada for all these years, I
have never wavered in my love for Yorkshire, or for Leeds United.
