Screw Sven's "profile and interest he would generate." He hasn't pulled up any
trees management-wise recently. We should be looking at managers who can take
us from the second tier to the absolute top of European football, the way Revie
did starting 50 years ago. Of managers who are or might be available, my
preferences would be:

Pep Guardiola - has shown a proven ability to work with youth as well as with
big stars. He also has managed at the highest level, so wouldn't be intimidated
by managing at a club the size of Leeds.

Roberto Di Matteo - was unfortunate to be fired at West Brom and even more so
at Chelsea. He knows the English game and might relish the chance to build a
dynasty at Leeds.

Paul Lambert - knows what it takes to get promoted at this level, and has shown
that with a team and an ownership group that believes in him, can really take a
club to the next level. Won the Champions League as a player, so knows what it
takes to succeed at the highest level as well.

After that, I'd be willing to consider diCanio and Gus Poyet.

However, I suspect that none of the above would be willing to join until (a)
the "new" owners reveal more about how much cash they have and where they are
getting it from and (b) we get rid of Ken Bates.

Cheers!

Sean

More cash less progress than at Leeds.

Never go back.

Various on twitter suggesting Sven for the profile and interest he would
generate
