Thank you Richard. And, as is often the case, I agree with you. I see Poleon just been given a new 2.5 year contract, at least he has pace and should be in the squad.
Responding to your pointa and to address the issues we have with width (or lack of it) and poorly performing defenders what do you think about us looking at playing a 3 man central defence, employing Byram and White as wide players. Peltier is much better in the centre than full-back and I think him, Pearce and Lees could be worth a go. Not many teams play more than two strikers (most play 1) and this gives us more strength and attacking options in the middle which as we all know is where games are won and lost. We could play Diouf in the hole between the midfield and a front two and it would get the best out of the players that we have. Both White and Byram struggle defensively possibly because of the jitters created by our central defenders but look better getting forward. Just a thought. Ok, I will rephase my youngsters statement. I honestly believe that a few youngsters could do no harm in the current squad. Certainly Poleon and Thompson to replace some of the old gits who are not really doing it for us at the moment. I would like some pace and enthusiasm in midfield and attack. It might not work, but I'd rather watch some youngsters having a go than the old boys club strolling around the park on a Saturday afternoon. Richard I won't do that because I agree with a lot of what you say. You made a point about playing the kids which is fine but had to mention you know who again. When you do that it sends me to sleep. Nothing to stop you deleting my emails of course. Regards Phill Richard Walker <[email protected]> wrote: I think it's the delete button you're looking for Phil.
