Ok the first half wasn't so bad and I thought Barkley was the bright spot along
with Peltier. But Brown is just fucking annoying sorry. He could have had no
complaints if he had gone after 2 minutes. He looked at the player first then
went straight in with an elbow. I don't mind dirty fuckers as long as they can
play, he just runs around trying to niggle everyone. Poor man's Dennis Wise.

Second half we resorted to pretty aimless hoofs again which rarely came to
anything, hence Barkley disappeared from the game. Brown was non-existent and I
agree with Rich Austin was poor.

Now I am a supporter of Diouf as he has touch, skill and a brain. But
unfortunately I am coming to realize he is just not dangerous and is very
rarely a goal threat. Shame.

Nick

Didn't deserve to lose this game, but I disagree with Colin's post match
comments that we deserved to win. Yes, they only had one chance and that was
from a bad mistake and we missed an open goal but in general our play was
littered with poor passing and mistakes, I think we're trying to play more
football and in the first half we were by far the better side with Varney
providing the pace and movement. I think the issues are:

1.  the lack of pace and similarity of Diouf and Macca
2. The similarity and limitations of Brown and Austin in the centre of the
park. Surprised Green was dropped.
3. No natural width to the team. Barkley is not a winger and he really suffered
today on the right wing.

The positives for me came from e central pair who were outstanding especially
Lees who was really dominant throughout and in the first half we moved the ball
well and showed high energy.

Second half, they looked sharp on the break without worrying Kenny. Our game
disintegrated, Austin kept giving the ball away and after Byram's mistake for
the goal he seemed to lose confidence. Hopefully, only a temporary blip.

Colin didn't change things though and maybe that was because there weren't
really any better options on the bench. He eventually put Haribo (no idea what
his name is and to be honest I don't really care) on but he had no impact.

There's not much else to say really, Cardiff are the leagues runaway leaders
but on this performance we are as good.

Scores:

Kenny - 6. Nothing to do ,, kicking a bit dodgy.

Byram - 5. Bad , bad mistake for their goal as he played the ball across his
own penalty area straight to Bellamy, who I'm sure tried a shot which he
dragged across goal to Campbell who slotted home.

Peltier - 8. Did well, showed good strength and good pace.

Lees-9. Man of the match. Dominant display.

White - 7. Got skinned early on but stuck to his task and in general did well.
He tried to push forward second half but it wasn't effective.

Brown - 5. Pedestrian.

Austin - 4. Put a lot of effort in and did do a few decent tackles however his
shooting and passing today were woeful.

Diouf - 6. He is an intelligent footballer but I sometimes find it hard to
watch him cos he just  can't do the things he wants to do. Also, his falling
over antics annoy me.

Varney - 6. Whilst Diouf is a clever player with no pace Varney is lively,
unintelligent player. First half he was arguably our best player but he lacks
awareness, plays with his head down and at times his composure isn't great.

Mcormack - 7. Worked hard but had few opportunities.

Subs:

Haribo -0 absolute garbage based on these 20 minutes. Ungamley is the word I
use to describe him. He doesn't like a footballer, he's 6 ft 4 but looked shite
in the air. To be honest he just didn't look like a footballer. A bit premature
maybe to make a judgment but instinct tells me we shouldn't be wasting money
paying this guy and should ship him back to Belgium pronto.

Crowd - 19,000, poorish atmosphere and very few Cardiff fans.

Comparing this to some (probably most) our performances this season it was
pretty decent but there's still a lot of work to do. Hopefully Morison can
provide some pace up front but I'm not sure what he can do with the midfield.

What's wrong with Somma? I can't believe Haribo took his place. If I was Somma
watching that I'd go and jump off a cliff.
