The question is not about whether they will sell or not, of course they will, 
because that is their business model. It is all down to the profit margin on 
offer to the "Investment House/Chancers/gallant St Georges" on the flip. 
Various sums have been mentioned and it is all about bridging the gap between 
the two figures. Of course building such bridges can be interesting if one side 
is under impending incoming fire and therefore faces other pressures.

In many ways this is a similar situation to that faced when the Plc had the 
bondholder debt problem.
FIRST -you have to slay the dragon.
Once the dragon is dead and gone, then everything opens up and it is a 
different world.
I'm very surprised that Pearson has gone public at this time. It must be 
tactical.
