Well all the gossip seems to point to Adkins being given the job. He is also by far the favourite with the bookies and some are claiming that he has been in contact with EFH (or whatver the initials are) and had discussions with them.
His record at Scunthorpe and Southampton suggest that he has something about him and he is young enough not to be a member of the managerial merry go round bunch who are touted for every job and then last a year. He could also be part of a long term plan which is what we really need (unlike Warnock who was only ever a one or at most 2 season appointment) and he does seem to like playing proper football (unlike say Mick McCarthy), something which I never thought would bother me - I would prefer to win 1 0 than lose 5 4 every week - but the football under Colin when I have left ER after a victory feeling flat has changed my mind a bit. Since I have lost all interest in football bar LUFC, I do not watch any games or MOTD so I do not really know much about him Anyone know more about Adkins or have any views on him or any other options ?
