Odd game.

We managed to be the better team and quite unlucky whilst
still being pretty hopeless and losing 3-0. The only thing it probably tells
you is how poor Ipswich were.

First 30 minutes we were all over them and somehow contrived
not to score. Then Lees got sent off, Warnock chooses not to bring Pearce on –
so its Byram at CB and Green at RB and a big space in midfield. Ipswich came
back into it without really looking like doing much until they headed against
the bar and then headed the rebound in. Doubt that would have happened with 2
CBs. Morrison still managed to miss a sitter before half-time.
Second half they scored early after Peltier cleared a ball
straight to them when he had plenty of time to control it, but despite the 10
men we still had most of the ball and most of the chances. In a 5 minute spell
around 60 minutes we really should have scored about 3 times – Morrison hitting
Varney on the line at one point and scuffing another one wide.

They scored a third with about their 4th attack and
the game petered out. Leeds fans amused themselves by suggesting Warnock f***ed
off back to Cornwall, pretending to celebrate non-existent goals and singing “If
we have a shot, we’re on the pitch” – steadily downgraded to “pass to feet and
we’re on the pitch”.

Despite the fact you would think we’d need some energy, pace
and inspiration with 10 men, White and McCormack stayed on the bench til we
were 3 down and Brown somehow managed to play 90 minutes. You’d think that
dominating possession with 10 men shows we played well but it really just meant
Ipswich gave it away even more than us. Though at one point Tonge managed to
take 2 successive corners that bounced before getting to the edge of the area.

Season cant end soon enough.
