Like a few others on here I thought that relegation is impossible and I know
someone has quoted 52 points as being a record amount for going down.

Whilst I still think it is unlikely I do believe that we will need at least one
if not two more points to stay up.
This is based on pure maths - if you accept that Bristol City are down we are
looking at staying above Peterboro and Blackburn. Both of them have 47 points
at better than a point a game . If they carry on like that till the end of the
season at exactly one point a game  Peterboro will have 52  points and
Blackburn 53 points, so just to stay ahead of these 2 we need at least one more
point. After 4 straight defeats and no win in the last 7 and a caretaker
manager who does not want to have the job, it is hard to see where the next
point is coming from - equally it is hard to believe we will not pick up any
points between now and the end of the season

So , I suppose, my view is that we will stay up but that we need some more
points to do so and that 52 points (the amount we have now) will not be enough
to stay up for anyone

3 points on Saturday against Sheff Wed and things will look OK
Dave
