I think McDermott's appt is an interesting one. On the positive side, his teams
'try' and play football, he has experience of taking clubs upwards etc, PLUS,
and this is a big factor for me, he has no negative associations a la Wise,
Bates, Warnock, anyone from Scum etc. So, he has a genuine chance of
acceptance. If he can wangle a couple of quick wins and then exchange the
journeymen we have for a younger team with something to prove then maybe this
will prove to be a turning point.

Hopefully the fans will sing 2 Brian McDermotts too?

Finally, I just wonder if anyone has an update on the health of Rupert Murdoch
:-)

PS Of course if he brings Ian Dozy Bollix Harte back, let me be the first to
say McDermott Out!!

Leeds United
In the weeks following his departure from Reading, Brian Mcdermott was strongly
linked with the manager position at Championship club Leeds United following
the dismissal of manager Neil Warnock. After talks with owners GFH Capital,
Mcdermott was appointed manager on 12 April 2013, agreeing a two year deal with
the club.[24]
