I think McDermott's appt is an interesting one. On the positive side, his teams 'try' and play football, he has experience of taking clubs upwards etc, PLUS, and this is a big factor for me, he has no negative associations a la Wise, Bates, Warnock, anyone from Scum etc. So, he has a genuine chance of acceptance. If he can wangle a couple of quick wins and then exchange the journeymen we have for a younger team with something to prove then maybe this will prove to be a turning point. Hopefully the fans will sing 2 Brian McDermotts too? Finally, I just wonder if anyone has an update on the health of Rupert Murdoch :-) PS Of course if he brings Ian Dozy Bollix Harte back, let me be the first to say McDermott Out!!
