Having watched the highlights on LUTV a few added observations We should have had a penalty when Drury was brought down - to me he was inside the box Their lad was lucky to escape his second yellow card but the 'trip' was almost just a tangling of the legs so maybe the ref was just about right to give him the benefit Our equaliser was well over the line - the ball bounced on the ground and it was clearly at least a foot behind the line - no need for goal line technology here. Lita should have equalised at the end - it was a free shot and he dragged it wide Varney has a great leap on him and that ability to 'hang in the air' the mark of a good header
Listening to the commentary which was recorded live I noticed 2 good bits 1. When Austin dragged another shot wide from distance the voice over had a real air of the inevitable and resignation as he says 'and Austin puts it wide AGAIN' 2. When Morison was clean through "and Morison is in here, Morison to equalise, oh he has delayed too long" What we want now on Tuesday is to get rid of a few 'monkeys on our back' - score in the first half. Bury the Tuesday night hoodoo (Blackpool game notwithstanding) and hopefully to win a game by more than 2 goals, something we have not done all season in the League - we have only won 3 games by more than one (Ipswich and Blackpool at home and Huddersfield away) Then hopefully we can get at least one away win before the end of the season to put that one to bed.
