In defense of Rich, I think there were a number of fans who thought Becchio was the dogs bollocks, maybe not so much on this list but certainly on WACCOE and also on the inane comments on the YEP. For me the problem was not just Becchio, it was Warnock's tactics (which suited Becchio) lump the ball forward to a lump and hope he bundles it home somehow. I think he would not have been a part of McD's plans and to that end I'm glad he's gone and we can now watch some vaguely decent football (today was a bit of a grind but we had a 3rd choice midfielder in Brown on the pitch). Speaking of Brown, he had a decent game today but the telling point for me was that McD was smart enough to sub him when he was on a yellow and thus avoid us being reduced to ten men too. It wasn't pretty today but it was a makeshift team that fought for every ball despite having nothing to play for. People praised Poleon but I wasn't all that convinced, he worked hard for his goal and he's quick but I didn't see much in the way of skill but I did see somebody who might have a short fuse, he doesn't like being bundled over. MOTM for me was McCormack, he was our only creative spark and he plays a beautiful weighted pass. I think his goal was well taken, at first I thought it was a howler from their young keeper but watching replays I think the keeper just couldn't jump high enough to get enough on the ball to keep it out. The bonus of today being that Hull fans now have to be grateful to us for saving their sorry arses from having to go into the play offs. Best, Jeremy
