As a 27 year member of CAMRA, I've spent years berating the closure of
some great Leeds pubs (Governments are still not doing anything to clamp
down on the PubCo tossers). But I have to say, the boom in Micro
Breweries, especially in Yorkshire is slightly re-inventing the wheel and
a plethora of top notch pubs are springing up.
The Hop is one of those, if you are arriving in Leeds on the train, pop in
to the excellent Leeds Brewery owned Brewery Tap (Turn right out of the
entrance to Leeds Station and walk 100 yards!). They also have the
Midnight Bell on Water Lane, with the independantly owned Cross Keys just
yards away. The good old Grove is still going strong and always worth a
visit whilst you're in that area.
I'm thristy now! :-)
