No it was as bad as it looked and I am stone cold sober. Why is it impossible for a professional player to just have some patience on the ball? I truly don't get it. The long ball forward seems to be the first option as soon as any immediate options don't seem obvious.

They are in a higher league than us and so a 2 -0 defeat is not the end of the world, but there was nothing today to cheer us up and give us hope. To concede 2 goals to straightforward set piece headers showed that we have learnt nothing in the last 6 years or whatever - this inability to defend a cross into the box was the undoing of McAllister's team, was briefly solved under Grayson but we soon fell back into it, then Colin failed to solve it and now McDermott. OK they were just that bit better than us and would beat us 8 times out of 10 but the way we just gave in , gave up and offered nothing was bad. We do not have a single player who excites us - there is not one of them who, when he gets the ball, gets you out of your seat. No Gradel, no Snoddy, no Beckford nothing. Murphy looked OK but it seems odd to spend our whole budget on a midfield player when we are crying out for a centre half and a winger (or two) The best bits of the game were the 'he's out of our club....the Chelsea bastard he's out of our club' and the "he's shit awwww" chant at the keeper which led to him deliberately doing an air shot at a deadball and nearly getting booked for it. Roll on Brighton game and a full(ish) house but let's hope for an injection of new players before then I still have belief and trust in McDermott and still much prefer GFH to Bates but things are not looking great after today Dave PS - It may not have been as bad as it sounds - I am on the 'come down' from beer and a lot of morphine ! _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] MARCHING ON TOGETHER _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] MARCHING ON TOGETHER
