I had the dubious pleasure of listening to Bates being interviewed by some poor sop on Talk Sport. What an eye opener! If Bates is to believed he had handed over a club in the rudest of health a cat's cock hair from winning the Champions League with the happiest supporters in Europe bar none. A club with the finest most envied facilities in the UK whose owners were universally loved by all but those who really should have been at the front of the queue at High Royds. And the mindless twat who interviewed him actually thanked Bates for this nonesense. No wonder our equally inglorious new owners wanted rid of the old shite.
