Not so much "football" more "life"
I suppose One man's poison is another man's medicine.
If every team has to carry a luxury donkey, then Rudy must be ours (captaincy
and all)
I used to get the same feeling when Carlton Palmer was on the ball or
challenging somebody,
but there was a comedy element with his playing style that made it vaguely
entertaining if not unpredictable.
I don't see this in Austin - he's predictably and consistently a poor passer
and a conceder of free kicks. He will have better matches I'm sure
from time to time and I'll be the first to congratulate him if and when he
turns the corner. In the meantime though, he'll cost us.

Dave

Austin is a liability - a wall of muscle and steel perhaps, but badly
lacking skill or vision. Also, seems to incur a lot of bookings and
  suspensions.
I'd get rid now instead of wasting resources trying to make him into
something he quite clearly isn't. Strong words perhaps, but he's poor.

0-0 then at Leicester - dour old game perhaps, but it's early days for all.
Defeat avoided must be a plus against a promotion favourite on their patch.
  Would have been
more heartening had we created something. Anyway, I'll take the point
  gratefully.

  Dave
