It all seems like a long time ago and you probably all saw the game on the telly but here's my scores
Kenny - 8. Another good performance - saved us from defeat again. Peltier - 7. I thought he played ok - should have done better when in a good position on the right. Warnock - 6. Not sure if he was to blame for the goal but generally did ok and looked to get forward when he could. Pearce - 7. Did ok against a lively /pacey Wednesday attack. Lees - 7. Ditto I thought their goal was really poor but not really sure who was to blame ? Green / Warnock ? Austin - 6. Battled hard, got around the pitch but surely we have to offer more than that. He can't pass a ball just ends up running round trying to get it back once he's given it away. I just don't think this bloke is good enough. Murphy - 5. Early days for the lad but you have to say he does look out of his depth. One or two decent touches and he did come into the game late on but he shows little quality, he is one paced and in general doesn't look as good as Tonge, which says it all for me. I wish I could say there is more to come and he shows potential but I'm not seeing it. I hope I'm wrong. Green- 4. Looked out of sorts, was he fit ? Macca - 7. Great individual goal,looked lively but was playing too deep. I suppose he had to because there was nobody else in midfield with any creativity. Poleon - 6. Did ok but showed his inexperience almost every time he got the ball. Varney-4. Poor. He hasn't got a footballing brain. Subs Tonge - 7. I thought he did well. He looks a bit slimmer and a bit fitter and he knows how to pass. I think he's probably got to be worth a start in front of Murphy? Smith - 5. He didn't even win his headers. Diouf - came on fell over, that was it. Overall I was disappointed. This is not much better than most of the shit last season. The only positive is that we are unbeaten and we should be happy about that.
