I've been getting lots of stuff electronically, but starting to think it'd be
easier (although time-consuming) to stop looking and start converting. Am
praying my Technics decks will last me till I peg it! A grand for a needle? I
still put a 2p piece on my occasionally!

Seeing how you used that word Joe, have you listened to Dave the Spazz - web
broadcasts every week - old rock and roll/soul and all manner of daftness.
Recommend it!

I couldn't be chinned converting vinyl to mp3. Waaay to much hassle. It's taken
me years but I think I've picked up most things from blogspots, mediafire and
many many torrents.

Russians seem to be very good at putting, say, a whole label's output together
in a  torrent. I don't feel that bad about it as I bought & owned most of it in
the first place and you can't get it digitally anyway.

I've had direct drive turntables ever since we DJ'd in the early 90's. I was
shocked the otehr day at my mate's when I stopped a record to check the label
and he spazzed out; 1, I nearly burnt his belt drive thingie and 2, his needle
was over a grand! A grand!
