I'm 69. An interesting number and age. There's a different perspective to GranPa Sykes. He obviously loved what he did and had done. You could always hear his enthusiasm. There was always the wisdom of experience. He was never bitter. He must have been proud to take his name 'Grand Pa'. So I guess a happy family man too. Certainly proud to a be a Granddad. So John had a great life. He seems to have been a blessed man. His death whilst, I should imagine easy was thankfully relatively short. That too is a blessing. You know, we have no choice about death. It'll come. We do have a choice about our lives. John chose well. Strange that a man I have never met passing saddened me. I knew John only from the list. Occasionally he wrote. Always pleasant and interested. God Bless, John.
