I just wonder whether he is still injured, he has shown nothing this year, whatever position he has played and yet last season he really looked the business. I am sure he will come good. You could be right and all he needs is more game time to get his sharpness back - let's hope so I am quite happy with the way things are at present - so much better than this time last year. Now it is all a case of the latest takeover going through and seeing what money we have, and spending it wisely. I am always amazed at how Leeds fans on waccoe etc want to look backwards instead of forwards. We had rumour after rumour about Smith coming back, then Bowyer, then Beckford etc, now it is all 'bring back Becchio' 'bring back Maxi' - to me they are the past, they have had their time as Leeds players and have gone - let them stay 'gone' irrespective of how well they did last time out.
I have faith in McDermott and I think if we back him with cash he will do the business - he is here for the long term . talking of the 'long term' I was checking my 20 year season ticket last week and found that at the end of this season I will be half way through with another 10 seasons to go !!! He's hardly played and now being asked to play as a wing back, which he isn't. Should play I'm midfield. Too much talent not to play.
