Prepared to argue about Becchio's stats all day Eric (or is it Ed?). Because they are not that great given he played a lot if games in Division 3.
Also here's a fact for you Eric - he never managed 20 league goals in any season he played for us and that includes the season when Snoodgrass and Gradel were flying. In fact he rarely came close- 2 seasons in division 3 he scored 15 and one season in the championship he netted 11 league goals. Bloody hell, Matt Smith has nearly scored that already. So the Becchio myth continues - he was not a prolific goal scorer and when you couple that with his poor general play I think the lad is incredibly lucky to be making a good living from the game. Obviously he's been found out massively this year but if he's saved and invested his 30k a week wisely it'll be a few years before he has to get a bin round. > On 11 Jan 2014, at 00:20, Eric B <[email protected]> wrote: > > "Clive Dunn was once number 1 - does that mean he was a musical genius?" > If a song has made 1 person happy then that song has done its job.
